Food is generally good with something for everyone, except the Italian restaurant is terrible and a waste of time, with very non-Italian cooking. Staff are very friendly and helpful and help to make your stay most enjoyable. Very dated but good looking and well maintained, clean everywhere. Even now, tourism is not yet back to what it was so I dont think it is fair to criticize the resort when it comes to the cosmetic maintenance stuff.Ī worthy option for most vacationers as long as you are not looking for modern conveniences or decor. It is good to keep in mind that many of these resorts are coming off of a very difficult time financially as a result of the pandemic when they all closed down for a long period. All in all - The staff, the beach, the food, and the weather all more than make up for any of the cosmetic issues. We are beach people so we spent our days on the beach-we were always able to get chairs and the staff on the beach are also awesome. While it could use some updating-if you dont sweat the small stuff you will be perfectly fine. The resort is a bit dated and the beds are pretty firm-but we have found that to be the case at most resorts. The gym is a bit dated but you can definitely get by with what is there. There is a really safe path just out front of the resort where you can run, walk or cycle safely-it is highly used as well. The only thing it lacked was pico! I have to say that while the food was great and we never went hungry-i was sad that there was no pico or guacamole for the duration of our stay which are some of our favorite food items we look forward to in Mexico. The food on the buffet was excellent as well. I wish i could remember every staff persons name because they were truly all awesome! We ate at the italian 2x and the mexican 1x and both were incredible. I also have to give a special mention to Fernando - our bartender on the beach and our servers Carlos and Salvador. Bruno at the lobby bar was excellent -he was so good to our teenage girls and so good to us. She is the kindest, warmest person i have ever met-even despite a language barrier you can tell she has a heart of gold and is the hardest worker. Honestly, we were so taken by her and she will always hold a special spot in my heart. I have never seen a person so happy while they are working their butt off keeping the place clean than Norma. David, the front desk manager, was most helpful and accommodating when we needed a late check out to due to a flight delay. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely appear to enjoy their work. The resort staff are incredible -they make the place- like absolutely incredible. There is a hand sanitizer dispenser that takes everyone's temperature on the way in to the restaurants, hand sanitizer on all of the tables, and staff are constantly cleaning. All staff are wearing masks at all times. The resort does a great job of keeping up with cleaning, disinfecting, etc. During our stay there the guests were mostly all either Canadian or from within Mexico. This is a smaller resort-which we liked as it was easy to get anywhere you wanted to go and that is nice and convenient. This was our first vacation since pre-pandemic and we were coming from Canada. an additional room may be booked for an additional couple for the same exact dates. We stayed here from January 14-21. *Due to the exclusivity of this offer, members can only book 1 unit during a rolling 24-month period.
